Dawn’s Journey

These pictures above were taken 8 weeks apart.
When Rumble Fitness released that they were going to run an 8-‐week transformation course, I knew I had to take up this challenge. In recent years my body has been subjected to a lot of harsh chemicals and medication after overcoming a life threatening illness. This course for me wasn’t just about getting slim and looking good, it was more about how well I could get my body on the inside and educating myself with the knowledge of how to fuel my body with natural goodness.
After everything I had been through it think my body deserved this.
After just one week on the course I began to notice a difference. I was given my own personal calorie allowance based on age and measurements. The amount was significantly more than I had expected. The main guidelines were that we weren’t allowed to eat any processed food and every meal had to have a higher amount of protein in proportion to the carbohydrates and fats.
The first week wasn’t easy. I did receive some headaches; I think this was mainly due to a decrease in my sugar levels but these went after a few days. We all had to make sure we drank at least 2-‐3 liters of water everyday, I found this a lot easier than I thought I would. If I was hungry I would try to drink more first, which would often be enough.
There were 9 of us on the course and we were put into a group chat. This was an invaluable part of the course where we swapped recipes and photos of what we were eating and preparing. The support from these guys was immense. Dave Peters from Rumble Fitness was on the chat, ready to answer any questions and offer advice, always keeping us motivated.
By the second week, we all soon realized we had to be more organized with preparing food ahead by at least a couple of days. I was already starting to look more defined. Doing the fitness sessions first thing in the morning left me bouncing like Tigger for the rest of the day. I soon began to realize that by eating this way, I was breaking bad habits. By the third week the benefits were becoming yet more obvious: my bowels were moving more regularly, my skin started to look more radiant, but most of all I had gained so much energy. With each fitness session I felt stronger.
As it become closer to Christmas, it grew harder. Going to lots of social occasions with many temptations was a struggle. When in situations like this, it was all about making the right choices and relaxing the boundaries a little. Having such a fantastic group on hand to offer support in these situations really helped to pull me through.
The final week was a bit emotional. I realized how much I had gained from this experience. I was now smashing the fitness sessions compared to when I first started and my energy levels had gone through the roof. This is what I had wanted and I finally felt well on the inside. I am now set up with the knowledge of what to eat to get the best out of my body.
This course was by no means just a diet and fitness course. These past 8 weeks were an introductory path to a new lifestyle.
No way could I have achieved this if it wasn’t for the professional help from Dave Peters and Rumble Fitness. I would strongly recommend this course to anyone that wants to improve their fitness levels or simply wants to be educated on what they are eating… and you will definitely lose a few pounds by sticking to the plan.
